Section 1 Ball Drop: For this demonstration we filmed Connor dropping an ball of the balcony. The ball was released at the height of 4.6 meters and accelerated towards the ground. We calculated the final velocity of the ball to be 9.5 m/s, but that is in a perfect world. With logger pro we saw that the final velocity of the ball was 8.6 m/s. The equation that we used was GPE=KE. The equation looked like (9.81)(4.6)=1/2v^2. The final answer is v=9.5, but that is in a perfect world not worrying about air resistance.

Section 2 Human Knee Constant: For this demonstration we filmed Connor jumping and touching the wall to measure how much elastic potential energy Connor could produce. The intended outcome for this lab was to see how much elastic potential energy Connor's legs could produce and to see how much gravitational potential energy there was in the jump.
